| Juvenile Restorative Probation Program - White River Junction |
|
The Juvenile Restorative Probation Program gives youth on probation with the Department of Children and Families the opportunity to accept responsibility for their actions, make amends to their victims, and connect in a meaningful with the wider community. A Case Manager facilitates hearings each month in White River Junction that provide an opportunity for a panel of volunteer community members to help young people understand the consequences of their actions by discussing the youth’s behavior and creating a Court Diversion Agreement with conditions that must be met in order to successfully complete the diversion process. When the conditions are met, the case is returned to DCF as successful; if the contract is not fulfilled, the case is returned to DCF for further court action.
