| Windsor County Court Diversion Program - Springfield |
|
Windsor County Court Diversion gives youth who have been charged with a first or second offense the opportunity to accept responsibility for their actions, make amends to their victims, and connect with the wider community. AJ facilitates hearings on evenings twice a month in Springfield. One board meets on the first Wednesday of the month and the other meets on the second Wednesday of the month. Volunteers from the community meet and read a brief summary of the incident, and together the client and the board create a contract. Victims play a major role in the creation of the contract to ensure that the contract is truly reparative. The client leaves the hearing with a contract that they own and have 90 days to complete. When a client completes the contract successfully there is no criminal record. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact: Alicia Johnson (AJ) |
